Candidate Statement
Caleb Cline
Hello Tuscany!
My name is Caleb Cline and I am a Candidate in this year’s Tuscany HOA Election. I’m a Las Vegas Native and have been a Tuscany resident for the past 3½ years, since being honorably/medically discharged from the Army where I served as an Infantry Captain. I’m also the guy who rides the laydown bike! You may have seen me in April when I cycled for 24-hours in front of our community and set 10 World Records in the process. Needless to say, I’m focused and committed to achieving winning outcomes for whatever tasks or challenges are put in front of me. I hope to be able to bring that sort of dedication, duty, care and honor to the residents of Tuscany, by representing you with a seat on the Board and being your voice.
I want this community to be one of fiscal responsibility, transparency, inclusion and respectful living that people enjoy waking up to and coming home to each and every day. One of the biggest things I miss from the military is the camaraderie. To be frank, the only reason I’ve decided to stay in Tuscany, instead of moving out like so many others have done over the past 3½ years, is I want to stay close to my neighbors who have become close friends/family and to continue to have my kids play with their kids whenever they’d like. Ironically, my best friend from West Point lives across the street from me, a blessing that was completely unplanned!
After leaving the military, I stayed in the risk management and protection business by focusing my professional career endeavors in the insurance and finance sectors. Having the freedom and satisfaction of minimizing risks vis-à-vis risk assessment/analyses and providing a means of asset protection for my clients’ homes, businesses, vehicles, lives and finances is some of the most rewarding work I’ve been fortunate enough and blessed to do.
Tuscany needs a skilled professional like myself who is expert in leading and shepherding all the intricacies of protecting the assets of our community and ensuring we keep our community looking and functioning at the highest levels. This includes dealing with vendors to see to it our owners/residents are able to maintain the highest and best semblance of normalcy, peace and enjoyment, without suffering loss due to contractors/vendors falling short of their responsibilities and contractual obligations or having to experience the unpleasantries of unprotected, unforeseen and/or unwelcome events.
Additionally, I am aware of all the ADA issues that have been brewing in the background for some time but have more recently bubbled to the surface and are justifiably breaching the top of the priorities list. Being a qualified person myself under the Federal Americans with Disabilities Act, I understand and appreciate what many of our ADA residents are dealing with and I’m committed to being your voice in finding reasonable accommodations where we’re currently lacking or falling short of a mark of acceptability. As an aside, I also assists other Veterans through my non-profit “Rusty Dogs of War” organization and I am very blessed to have “Stryker” as my steadfast comrade and Service Dog – Woof!
In conclusion I’d like to say: Many of you supported me during the election last September where I missed earning a seat by the narrowest of margins! I’m hoping to gain your support and votes again this election season, based on what I bring to the table and what you, as homeowners, can expect to receive by choosing to have me represent your needs, wants and desires. That being said, I’ll leave you with this parting thought: “Are you better off now than you were a year ago?” If you say nay, it’s time for change!
